All
forms of aesthetic art are highly prized in elven
culture, and art is commonly encountered in their
everyday life. While other races, such as humans
and orcs, often see art and entertainment as luxury
the elves value it as importantly as they do eating
and breathing. In their reasoning the soul needs
nurturing as well as the body. As a result elves
generously allocate time to their hobbies. Events
like poetry readings, musical gatherings, dance
contests, archery competitions and festivities
can take several days in accounting.
Among the Kvyr elves pearl diving and sailing
competitions are common, and they have an elaborate
bathing culture with public baths that sport hot
and cold water. The A’lure elves arrange hunting
competitions, shifting game with the season. It
is common to travel the countryside by foot for
leisure, to contemplate or to simply enjoy nature.
