The elves are fair skinned and they lack beard growth. The Kvyr elves are usually tanned, while the A’lure elves tend to be pale. Elven eyes are very bright and colorful, ranging from green, blue and brown to violet. Kvyr elves seldom have violet eyes.

Apart from common hair colors, such as blond, brown and dark, elves may have naturally green or silver hair. Kvyr elves may also have golden hair, something that is very rare among the A’lure elves who generally are of darker shades than their cousins. Short hair is very uncommon and is typically a display of deep grief.

Beauty is an important concept for elves and they spend much time on their appearance. Make-up, such as eyeliner, rouge and face powder, is commonly used among both men and women. They add decorations, including embroidery, runes and coloring, to their clothes, often with miniscule detail. They are very fond of adornments and wear embellishments such as rings, necklaces, diadems and brooches.

The wealthier Kvyr elves wear exclusive clothes of intricate design when socializing. The men often wear tight fitting coats with elaborate sleeves, vests, mantles or capes, cravats, knee-length breeches, knee-high stockings and low-heeled shoes. The women wear laced chemises, long dresses, short sleeved or sleeveless robes and vests, corsets, elbow high gloves and high-heeled shoes. Through their trade they gain access to almost any fabric, but they favor silk, brocades and velvet. Bright colors and fancy patterns are common, and lace and ribbons are often used as decorations. Those less fortunate use more practical clothes, such as tunics and short coats made of cloth. Leather articles such as high boots, bracers and belts made from the skin of sea animals are common. The Kvyr elves have a special affection for things from the sea, such as seagull feathers, coral and seashells. They enjoy precious metal and stones as well, and often seek such goods in trade. Fish, birds and ships are often depicted in their arts and crafts.

The A’lure elves generally dress in more practical clothing, and they make less distinction between work and leisure garbing than the Kvyr elves do. They buy linen and cotton from the halflings and humans, and they gain hides and furs from the game in the forest. They prefer natural colors of the forest, and they often trim their clothing with details of fur. Clothes are typically of long, sweeping cut. Examples of common garments are tunics, hooded mantles, robes, sleeveless vests and low soft hide boots. For adornments they mainly use objects found in nature, beautiful stones, pieces of amber, bits of carved wood, colorful feathers and flowers. They often braid their hair and twine adornments into it. Birds, trees, leaves and other things of the forest are common elements in their art.
