Elves tend to settle near seas and rivers, or along the coast. The wood elves live in small towns and villages that are heavily integrated into the natural environment. They prefer to live by what the woods and waters can provide, and keep little in the way of farmland. They rely on fishing, gathering fruit and hunting. Cultivation of land tends to be limited to gardens and orchards. The coast elves live in waterside cities, with storied buildings made of stone and wood. Being masterful fishermen and sailors, they live mainly from what the ocean provides, and they seldom have any other cultivation than their small city or coastal gardens. They trade with the human ports for farmed goods.
