The
elven tongue is melodious and well suited for poetry
and ballads. Words often contain more vowels than
consonants, which contributes to its soft manner.
The language derives from ancient elven, and the
elves believe it to be superior to other languages.
Elven letters are embellished with dots and are
composed of slanted lines connected by crests. Elves
are famous for their wonderful calligraphy. They
prefer to scribe on wood, skins and parchments.
Humans envy the elven alphabet and a few elven glyphs
on an item can very well raise its value. This would
of course have the opposite effect for orcs, who
detest anything relating to elves.
