Gnomes are much like dwarves in appearance but are of somewhat lighter build. It has been debated whether they have dwarven blood intermingled in their ancestral history. They are as industrious as dwarves, but are more patient and precise in their work. Gnomes style their beards and keep them neat and trimmed. Their most obvious features are their large noses, of which they are very proud.

Gnomes are often underestimated, but should be met with respect for their adeptness with magic and illusionary skills. They are fanatic in their ways of cataloguing everything they come across, such as legends, beings and crafts. Lore that is almost forgotten or that can be obtained through solving complex puzzles or mysteries is highly sought after. A gnome's library, filled with tomes and scrolls, is her most coveted possession and she will do anything to protect it.

Gnomes are exceptional when it comes to cutting and mounting gems. They are famous for their creative designs and precise work. Gems are traded with other races for items and materials that are needed. Gnomes make good miners, but fall short in comparison to dwarves.
