The
Tilkhurg Giant, last of the ancient Greater Giants,
toppled to the ground on Druinbar Hill. The weight
of its monstrous body jolted the earth sending spasmic
ripples of earthquakes tumbling deep into the surrounding
forest of Greenwood Enchants. Finally Druinbar Hill
was free of the torment and pestilence that had
dominated it since the Beginning.
Hundreds of days passed and the Giant lay still,
its bulk frame, a cursed monument, visible far across
Ocean Perennity. Rumors about the miracle spread;
the giant, ancient as Nan'jarial itself, was dead.
The Tilkhurg Cult, a fanatic religious order, predicted
the Giant would rise again. Those humbly submitting
themselves to this belief would be spared its coming
wrath. The Caerth Sisterhood claimed to be the cause
of the Giant's fall. A group of sisters had battled
the Giant and had been swallowed whole. From within
the Giant's belly they had performed a powerful
sleep spell that would span for as long as they
lived.
The site became known as Tildruin, Giant's Hill,
a place of pilgrimage. They came by the thousands
like leeches to a carcass. Orcs, elves and dwarves
alike came, seeking a remedy for their mundane lives
and a glimpse of material otherwise only found in
legends. Many of them stayed, built houses, shops
and inns. The city streets and layout assumed the
shape of the Giant beneath. Unique in its mix of
races and cultures, Tildruin grew and became a powerful
city of trade and commerce.
