Orcs
have the same stature as humans, but are more sinewy
and enduring. They have thick leathery hides and
unkempt random hair growth. They have pointed lobeless
ears and protruding jaws which are dominated by
their lower row of teeth. They have short legs and
long arms. Their unbalanced figure makes them generally
prefer to work with their arms than their legs.
Orcs are taught early in life to fend for themselves.
This partially explains their harsh and competitive
nature. Orcs respect power that reigns through terror
and will gladly follow a strong leader. Orcs seldom
travel alone and it is said: "a lonely orc is a
cowardly orc."
Orcs detest the elven concept of beauty, where beauty
is appreciated for its own sake. Instead the orcish
view of beauty is highly dependent upon functionality
and status. Therefore their crafts are often crude
and unadorned, even though they rival those of the
dwarves' in quality and functionality. A typical
orc discussion usually evolves around the amount
of damage a particular weapon can inflict. Swirling
tattoos and numerous battle scars reflect status
and tribal symbols are often hung around the neck.
Orcs have an interest in herbs, especially when
it comes to mixing poisons.
