Religion
Orcs are not a particularly inquisitive people and
in general they do not seek spiritual or philosophical
answers. If an orc lacks answers to questions of
spiritual answers she fears not, someone above her
will always know. Instead they look for their place
in the hierarchy of things, even in nature and the
divine.
Orcs fear and respect those above them, which is
also expressed in their relationship to the divine.
It is important to do what the divine expects of
you, or you will provoke its anger. Since forces
of nature also have their hierarchy, an orc can
rival them to improve her overall status, by surviving
a blizzard for example.
Religion is, as with most things among the orcs,
a concern of the group. Prayers and sacrifices are
usually made collectively, and under the guidance
of a priest. Orcs often raise altars, in honor of
their gods, on which they can direct their worship.
Superstition
In general orcs are rather superstitious, expecting
the spirits and gods to meddle in their business
in minor as well as majors affairs. A common orc
would not presume to deal with the unseen directly
though, such things are best left to those properly
trained. Fortunately the priests stand ready to
guide and protect their kin.
