The death of Zogdatha, a legendary military commander, marked the end of orc domination in the Kvyr and Dar'Kolbur region. The orcs scattered across the Whispering Plains to escape the wrath of pursuing elves and dwarves, but several tribes fled north instead into the Barrier Mountains.

The grim Isenvor humans were not amused by the intrusion, but in their desperation the orcs still managed to carve out a small domain for themselves. They settled down and built a city upon a rich iron vein. With the aid of skills acquired during their war against the dwarves, the orcs quickly established mines and forges. Inspired by their work, which supplied them with weapons and armor, they named their city Ograkk - City of Iron.

The conflict with the Isenvor humans continued, and the orcs advanced, and even claimed the human fortress of Icehaven. They lost it again in the onslaught of the Everlasting Winter, opening up the way for the humans to pour south and lay Ograkk under siege. The Ograkk orcs turned to their Kharbesh kin for support, but they refused them. So a temporary pact with was sealed with the Odar humans instead, leading to the freeing of Ograkk. The betrayal by the Kharbesh orcs was repaid in blood, when they were denied safe passage through Ograkk from their pursuers, the Odar humans.

The border conflicts between the Isenvor humans and the orcs still rages to this day, and it shows no signs of abating. The disputed Sunken River Pass, lying between Icehaven and Ograkk, shifts owners on a regular basis.
