Trolls prefer the company of their tribe, especially when they are hunting or eating. They sometimes play simple games to pass time, using bone parts or rocks as pieces. Trolls enjoy periods of solitude as well, and it is common for trolls to wander their domain alone to feel the presence of the spirits and nature.

At celebrations and special gatherings the trolls dance, sing and drum. Storytelling has a strong tradition among the trolls, and tales are often the highlight of any troll gathering. Trollish storytelling is more of a performance act than mere narration, where the storyteller and audience together relive previous events or act out future ones, such as historic occurrences or upcoming hunts. The story often involves the crowd, and the partakers mantle their role to such extent that they often believe they are the persona they are portraying. These events sometimes turn bad, especially for those who portray the enemy who may suffer curses or beatings. Afterwards this is commonly blamed on the confusing malice of the spirits.
